I am one half of The Uncultured, alongside Ashleigh Bowmott - our cape of collectivism to produce, facilitate, curate and advocate together. Formed in the middle of a global pandemic in 2020, The Uncultured has recently worked with Brian Lobel, Dan Watson, Lauren John Joseph, Malik Nashad Sharpe (Marikiscrycrycry), Nando Messias, Rachael Young and The Yard.
We are independent creative producers and facilitators working with performance and live artists to develop strategies for creating new work and sustainability, with artist development at the core. Find out more about us over at the-uncultured.com.
From 2018-19 I had the role of part-time Artists' Advisor at Artsadmin and was pleased to be resident producer at Live Art Development Agency throughout 2017. Before going into freelance producing, previous roles include Executive Producer at Chisenhale Dance Space and Digital and Social Media Marketer for Dance Consortium and other large-scale dance companies.
Until January 2021, I was the proud Deputy Chair of the Board for Home Live Art. Throughout 2019-20, I was part of the British Council GENERATE programme that connected UK and US producers, curators and programmers. I was also a recipient of a Jerwood bursary to focus on training opportunities. Throughout Summer 2020, Ash and I were sponsored by The Yard to be part of the Freelance Task Force, a project initiated by Fuel to address freelance equity in the arts during COVID-19.
I have guest lectured on university courses at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, Middlesex University and Coventry University. I regularly run workshops for groups and organisations on ACE funding, producing, fundraising and marketing.
