BOUNTY BARS AND OREO COOKIES

I'm pleased to be consulting for Alexandrina Hemsley around her new work, Bounty Bars and Oreo Cookies. I've had a sneak peek of what's to come from the exhibition and it looks amazing - make sure you see it!

A new work by Alexandrina Hemsley and Katarzyna Perlak which reflects on  Alexandrina’s habits of disassociation alongside speculative and future ways of embodying multiple identities and ‘otherness’.

Both Alexandrina and Katarzyna have grown up in countries other than the UK and make work that explores the body as a political site. Both experience the effects of everyday racial/cultural assumptions placed on their female bodies.
